What is Acupressure and what are its Healing Benefits?
Acupressure is an ancient healing technique that uses finger pressure to balance energy flows in the body. Acupressure practitioners apply a pressure to specific points in the body to relieve energy blocks and reinstate smooth energy delivery. The efficacy of the treatment depends on the location where the pressure is applied.

According to historic records, acupressure natural health therapy was practiced in ancient China and actually predates acupuncture by a few hundred years. Acupressure is part of TCM or Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Acupressure practitioners usually press along a series of points until the energy flow is evenly distributed. Sessions typically begin with ‘Tui Na’; an initial massage that revitalises the body’s natural healing ability. Modern medicine systems believe that acupressure promotes the production of endorphins; natural pain-killing hormones.
